and the dogs are quiet
Spring is in the air... oh. I forgot I've been saying this for a month now. Well, it is, darn it! T. and I took a 9 mile hike up in the mountains today and there is irrefutable proof that summer will indeed come one of these days. The water in the river was high with many lovely small waterfalls
which required close attention to one's footfalls, especially with two dogs dancing underfoot...
in addition, there were many small thoughts of spring underfoot other than the dancing dogs...there was flourescent green moss, small flowers, buds on branches.... though dark and rainy, it was a lovely day.
And besides that...I've dug up about 1/4 of my tiny front yard and made a raised bed. Stonework courtesy of marikio, inc. Garden design, ditto. I'm rather proud of myself even though I'll be soaking in a tub of hot water and epsom salts again tonight. Well worth it.
