I made
loaded backed potato chicken casserole recipe for the OCPs yesterday.
It looked/smelled great when I left! Cut back on the cheese a bit because the quantity looked kind of ridiculous lol but yeah. How bad can it be? I'll definitely make it for home at some point. Minus the bacon because mom won't eat bacon. *sigh* I'll put some on part of it. lol
Before that I had a shit-ton of petsitting. Luckily one said I didn't have to go walk the dog because it was too hot... glad I thought to text him beforehand and say I was on my way, that reminded him it was too hot! LOL
Dinner at PF Changs was fun yet a clusterfuck. lol so we had a 30ish min wait, not a big deal. Table for 5. WAIT.. no, table for 6 because Nichola failed to mention her mom was coming along. Ok fine. So we got a table for 8 (lol) which left room for our purses :) Our waiter was Carlos whom we've had before. He's really funny, charming and reminds me so much of Sergio Romo. lol I wanted to take his picture but couldn't do it without being obvious. Anyway, he joked around with us, took our drink orders then our food orders. A few mins later he came by and said someone else is taking over because he was going on break. We were all 'awwww' and he was apologizing... lol Nichola even went over and cashed out her wine so she could tip him because he was so personable. The new server came by and introduced herself, she seemed nice enough. One of the food runners brought
smilez her cup of hot & sour soup, but mine didn't show up. After a few minutes I flagged down our server and told her I didn't get mine. She went and got it. Then a little while later another runner brought
smilez's food and Tina's food and we waited for the rest to show up. After like 10 minutes we were gabbing and told Tina/Sarah to go ahead and eat (they were being polite).. our server stopped by and says 'how is everything?' and she looked at our table, with 2 people with food in front of them and the other 4 of us with nothing and we were all 'um, only 2 of us have food' and she said 'Oh! I'll go check on it' and she goes back, we see her looking around, then talking to a manager then she came over and realized that somehow, some way, the rest of the order was not received. LOL something went terribly wrong. haha she was super apologetic, said they're not really sure what happened but they will 'make good'... she re-took our orders, she packaged up Tina & Sarah's meals for them to take home and would make them fresh meals since now theirs were cold. LOL it was so strange! Anyway, we honestly weren't all that upset. Things happen. They brought us our orders shortly and everything was perfect. I had some veggie dumplings and my usual lemon chicken and brown rice, I had 1/4 of it and took the rest home for today, yay! We shared a piece of the Great Wall of Chocolate Cake which was amazing as always. Gabbed until 10pm and we headed out. Funtimes!
So the weekend should be mostly okay I think. It's gonna be hotter than a motherfucker. I have 4 stops to make in the AM so I'll get that out of the way. 2 more stops in the PM but everything is easy. All cats. I got ingredients to make a quinoa crusted quiche type of thing, so I'll throw that together at some point this weekend. Plus make some more oatmeal-in-a-jar because my mom & I wiped out all 8 this week. My mom has stuff to do this weekend so hopefully she'll be out of my hair for the most part.
ONE CAN HOPE.
Oh--and I've been having an issue (yet another one with this damn laptop. lol) where it zooms in and out willy nilly (is that still a phrase? it fits. I'm using it.)... I can just be typing away and it zoooooooms in or out and I keep having to ctrl+ or - and it's obnoxious. I googled the issue and found a setting to disable zooming. But then suddenly the tapping on my touchpad was disabled too. Huh? I didn't tweak that setting dammit! So after 15 minutes of that not working and me trying to get back there (without using the touchpad!!) I unchecked and rechecked the box and then it worked. Weirrrrrrrrrrd. Ahh computers.. love 'em, can't live without 'em.
I was inspired by Andrea--
I'm gonna attempt this during the month of June.
Oh shit, June is today isn't it?
Guess I better go to sleep (hyped up on iced tea!) so I can wake up and do it. lol
YES.
