(no subject)
Good morning. I'm lounging here at Excalibur in Las Vegas while k sleeps. Room is fine... Basic... What we expected for 'cheap'.. Nice view of the Luxor and Mandalay Bay from our window. No issues with the flights... Other than a thirty min delay to take off. Not a huge deal. K & I found each other in the airport and took a shuttle here. Vegged a bit before venturing out into the heat to the mall at Mgm. Of course the place we were thinking for dinner isn't open for dinner. Lol ('witchCraft) so we hung out and waited for a table at Diego where we had been last year. We made a meal of appetizers: mini empanadas, mini gorditas and our favorite taquitos plus some papas on the side. Yum! We didn't get to meet up with sandi & jeff after all.. We had planned on meeting up with them after they got out of the show they were seeing. So the maid of honor chick said they would text after the show to coordinate. We were almost done with dinner when she texted and said we could meet them in five min at the nyny or they were heading to Luxor in a few. So I said we would finish up and see them at Luxor. So we did that and were on our way when we get another text saying they were calling it a night. Hahahaoooooook. Oh well. So we ended up wasting some $$ at some slots...stopped at a few stores on the strip to get us tan lotion and water and headed back to Excalibur. our plan for today is to brave the heat and head to Caesars to brunch at serendipity... Then back here to use the pool then more wandering around. This is pretty much our plan for the rest of our time here. Relax... Do nothing...
