I still do not have internet but the Kinko's by my house does ... so here I am ... I cannot access LJ from my work cause it's a "Restricted" site ... sigh .. is everything conspiring against me?
I called my cable company today to get an estimate on how long it will take them to fix things and unfortunately they do not have a timetable ... they are trying to fix it as quickly as possible cause while I am without these things they cannot charge me these days so they are losing $$$ every day that goes by. The lady told me that they are two problems ... some of their generators have been damaged due to the storm and their technitians are working to fix them ... problem #2 is that while some Residential Power has been restored to the area, Commercial power has still not been restored to where they need it ... so thus is the pickle I find myself in, along with many others, I am sure.
FPL(our power company) said that it might be until November 22nd-28th for EVERYONE to get power again .. can you believe it? So we are DEFENITELY one of the lucky few .. only 50% of my county has power back ... there are some people a block away who are still in the dark and I can't help but feel a bit like a spoiled child complaining about lack of cable and internet but still ... I can't help myself ... I miss my pc and all the stuff that I am used to doing on it ....
This forced rest from the internet though has given me time to .. play video games? lol .. you got it ... due to this forced outtage I've been playing my game of Paper Mario that I bought like 5 months ago but only just now started playing lol ... I think I want to buy Fire Emblem, it looks ubber interesting and the graphics are kickass and I wants it .. besides, it seems that I will have the time to play it ...
I also took the time to break out of my writer's block and write chapter 22 of SWS and parts of 23 .. I need to type it up, which I will do between today and tomorrow .. and I will come back to Kinko's to upload it ... sigh ...
Alrighty .. anything else? No, not much else ...
Oh, I freaked out the other day cause my youngest girl kitty had this ball under her jaw and to the side ... but she was eating fine and had no fever(this was Thursday night) I think it was a bug bite cause the thing has already gone down and it's almost gone but I was FREAKED ...
