So it's Sunday .... Bleh

Sep 25, 2005 13:18

It's not that I don't like Sundays, it's just that Sundays are my work week's Mondays ... Yeppers, in a little bit I am off to work.  Of course, in my old job I had to work every other Sunday which was cool, same for Saturdays but at least we closed earlier on Sundays.  I wouldn't mind if tmobile like a lot of other Cell Phone companies has their Customer Service Department closed on Sundays or at least only worked until 6p or something ... Oh well, I guess that's why they are so high in rankings in Customer Service cause they always have someone available ... Bleh ..

My Mom and I went to see Roll Bounce yesterday.  We were going to see "The Corpse Bride" on Friday but she got out of work too late and me, waiting for her, didn't go see it(I should have).  Then yesterday she got home a bit late from a class that she's taking so after a late lunch and seeing the other movie she wasn't up to seeing a second movie. Well, Roll Bounce was really fun.  It's the type of film that looks back at a certain era with nostalgia without making you roll your eyes every 5 minutes. I really recommended.  It was well written, has a great 70's soundtrack and it just fun and upbeat.  Some of the funniest moments is the insults the kids, all of them friends, hurl at each other. I mean you wouldn't think that they are friends, it's so hilarious.

What else? Oh I bought Pretear : The Collection on DVD. It was on Best Buy, they only had two of them and only for $22.99 which was a bargain really as I know how much some charge for certain DVD's ... like for example.  Inuyasha : Season One costs about $87.99 with 5 DVD's ... I think that they can get away with putting that price on Inuyasha just because it's so popular right now and not many, in the U.S. at least, know about Pretear.  It's the only thing that I can think of.  I also bought Paint Shop Pro 9 ... I've read so much about what's new with it and how improved it is from PSP8 so I had to try it.  I didn't really have much time to play around with it.  But I did notice that when using small fonts they come out MUCH clearer, which is awesome.

Tonight is the Premiere of "Extreme Makeover : Home Edition", "Desperate Housewives", & "Grey's Anatomy"  I am so excited.  Also, a brand new episode of Rome is coming up.  This show MUST have a second season, so I hope that it is doing really well in the ratings.  Although HBO somethings just doesn't gauge things too much by ratings for bringing shows back but this one costs a lot to make since they try to re-create Rome B.C. so if it isn't getting good ratings that might be the reason that they don't bring it back.  Although if anyone gives it a chance they would love it.

Before I dash I want to just point out some of the fanfics I am reading(or read) at the moment .... They are good but they are in the anime fandom, so yeah.  Mainly Inuyasha, then Samurai Champloo.

Inuyasha

As My Daughter Wishes(R) By CatsEyes - Incomplete ..... Rin has never known a mother in her life. She has alsways liked the strange woman she and her Sesshoumaru-sama run into from time to time, and when Kagome saves her from a deadly sickness, Rin can't help but see her as the mother she never had. What lengths would the demon lord go through to make her wish a reality?

The Lucky Ones(R) By Terri Botta - Complete .... Sometimes Fate hands you a gift you never thought you'd ever get, and it's up to you to accept it for what it is.

The Coyote Child(R) By Terri Botta - Incomplete .... A Lucky Ones continuation: Inuyasha and Kagome are asked to adopt a coyote-hanyou baby from Arizona.

That's if for now.  I am reading others but I already listed them a while back ... Particularly HotM  which is, and will always be, my favorite Inuyasha fandom fanfic EVER ... Sigh ... Alrighty ... Must dash now, work unfortunately calls to me ...
