Ernesto and 24/7 weather crap
So Tropical Storm Ernesto is supposed to be landing later tonight ... since it's moving so fast and the 10,000 mountains in Haiti affected it so much they(the Hurricane center peeps) aren't expecting it to strenghten to more than 65 MPH by the time it arrives and they have it leaving us by mid Wednesday afternoon .. because I work in the morning I might be off tomorrow, I can hope .. I do not like driving in rainy, let alone windy, conditions ... Today we got to leave at 11:45 AM because they said that we would start feeling windy, rainy conditions around 2 PM and that hasn't happened yet(I mean it has rained a bit but it isn't really windy) which makes me wonder ... Has it slowed down? We'll have to wait for the next advisory ....
Anyhow, I am not expecting what happened with Wilma last time(3 weeks without internet and cable) but in case that happens I still have my sidekick as long as cell towers aren't knocked out as it also happened with Wilma ...
On another note I have a headache which means I either need to wash my hair or I don't know what the hell it means ... Maybe I am stressed? But I don't think so ...
There's this new Celeb-Reality show starting tonight on Fox which I will probably not see even if i wanted to see it due to the storm coverage(will get to that in a bit) "Celebrity Duets" .... only interesting entries are Lucy Lawless(I just LOVED Xena : Warrior Princess) and Chris Jericho ... I could watch just for those two but I have a feeling I will forget ...
Oh STINKING LOCAL AFFILIATES!
I GET IT! It is important to keep the folks updated on storm news BUT is it REALLY necessary for EVERY Freaking channel(NBC, CBS, Fox and ABC) be giving 24 hour around the clock news on the approaching storm, the forecasted tracks, how to prepare and what-not? Can they take a break? Specially when they essentially repeat the same shit every 30 minutes ??? This is the SECOND DAY in a Row I have missed GH, thank goodness for clip artists at The Canvas for posting clips of the show so I could watch the Liason scene and Jason's scene with Alexis because OMG I AM SO ANNOYED! This is why I could not survive without cable!
