Last night we continued with yet another Family Christmas Tradition -
"Let's go take a Picture with Santa Time!"
The difference this year was that we decided to take the MODI kids along with us. They had never really experienced something like this before and although the oldest guy was a little hesitant at first, it ended up being a fun-filled evening for all.
When it was our turn to go up to see Santa, the first thing the kids spotted was Santa's box full of Candy ! It was something else to try to get all the kids to look up for the picture ... by the time I called all their names to look at the camera, the first couple of kids were already doing their own thing again. Having the two littler ones sitting by the box of candy was a miscalculation on my part .. they should have sat at the other end. The only girl of the bunch, Vivian, decided she would be smart by making a face. I am not sure what she was thinking, but in years to come when she sees this picture, she will realize what a "handful" she was as a child. (at least I hope she does)
All in all it was a good evening. The drive to Yorkdale and back was so exciting, through the eyes of these kids, who marvelled at all the Christmas Lights along Caledonia Road. There is one house in particular that "goes all out" every year and this year it looks absolutely incredible (in a bad way). I believe the decorators must think that MORE IS BETTER ... truly there isn't any spot on the lawn or on the house that they could even put one more light bulb. YIKES!
Here's the picture of the MODI kids with Santa for you to enjoy !
