a strange coincidence for sure ...
I usually drive to work. However, since I was attending a work conference downtown at the Royal York Hotel yesterday, I thought it would be a lot easier for me to take the public transit.
Since the Royal York is right across the street from Union Station, that was the best route to take. I had never been to the Union station until yesterday.
When I got home, Dan told me about the "freak accident" that happened at the Union Station ... apparently, for no reason whatsoever, the escalator decided to speed up to SUPER SPEED and there were 10 + people who got hurt and had to be taken to the hospital. (someone must have put some meteor rocks into the escalator motor, how else would you explain it?)
In any event, I thought it was so strange how on the day that I would be visiting the Union Station for the first time in my life, I just missed this freak accident .. fate!
