Night of July Fourth : Nicodemus Terrace
When Lana realized that fireworks were going to take place out over the river she decided it would be a great excuse to have friends over. She handwavily called or emailed everyone she knew and told them to bring along anyone they wanted. Her apartment had a great view of the river and there was a sort of common yard for the apartment almost on the river where people could sit out and watch if they preferred that to inside.
It didn't take much effort to straighten up and throw some food stuffs together for the evening. She put on some music and waited for people to arrive.
