DC was PHENOMINAL. I know I had my mood swings about it, a big thanks to Ike and Joey for putting up with the pathetic calls, but all in all I'm totally looking forward to living there.
We flew out on Saturday and met up with some of my parent's friends for dinner, nothing exciting. Sunday morning I checked into the dorms there and dropped off my stuff...opening ceremonies and stuff, no big deal. After all of the informational stuff I decided to go exploring (insert phone calls here) but I realized I was being ridiculous and went back to the dorm and met some amazing people. That night we just went from room to room/party to party and went to bed.
Monday I woke up resolved to make it a better day and it was. I searched desperately for a Starbucks the whole time and didn't find one :-(, the one closest to the buildings was under construction (I made sure to find out that it'll be ready August 1). Anyways, my search was shared with a few choice people and ended up with dessert at some random restaurant for two and discussions about Beck. Good time! I love Beck. I can't even describe how cool it was to stand on top of the Kennedy Center and look out over the city, monuments and all--maybe I'll post the pics I took later. Probably not.
I'm still extremely sleep deprived, I slept until 1pm today, so it's time for bed. *MWAH!*
