Okay, you guys have GOT to help me understand. I understand tattoos. I understand piercings. But I see absolutely nothing attractive or interesting about making huge ginormous holes in parts of your body! This, for the poor uninformed user that just happened by, is called gauging.
Now, you guys know me. I do my research. I've been reading www.bmezine.com for a while now...and I've never found anyone who will tell me WHY they want to gauge, just that they do.
There aren't many things I'm against, but this is one of them. I was very saddened to discover that many of the young people I really respect are interested in and actively pursuing this. It IS dangerous, it CAN scar, it CAN be permanent, and only in African culture is it actively sought as a beauty feature.
Please explain.
