Saturday I was feeling especially guilty that I haven't spent much time with the girls, more so Kaylee. At 4:45, I snagged her and we ran off and caught the 5:00 show of Meet The Robinsons. VERY good, very cute! Loved it!! It was fun to have 'us' time. Then off to Wal*Mart we went, to buy her a new spring jacket. When we got there, I realized I had left the gift certificate we were using at home. So we drove around, and decided to run into Pet Smart to pick up something for our Frog tank. I asked Kaylee if she wanted another fish, and she didn't. She didn't want a hamster either. But OOHHHH she just WANTED a parakeet. Nope, no way. Not gonna happen... no no no........ Absolutely not, Pernell would shoot me! There is NO WAY. I've already had birds and that didn't go so well.......
So meet Louie. He's a few months old. Pet Smart has been handling him for two months. Very friendly! Both girls LOVE him, and he goes to both of them!
Kaylee has really surprised me! She is typically very nervous around any sort of animal, and shrieks off in fear, so I didn't think she would do so well with the bird. Well, she's doing great! The gal that sold him to us took us in the 'bird room', and showed Kaylee how to old him, and things to do to train him. He has bitten her, but it hasn't phased her one bit. She just drops her hand a little and say, "NO." He goes right to her from his cage... but not me! LOL!!
Sam likes him, but would rather not hold him. She cracks me up!
Kaylee knows the rules. She helps me clean the cage, she changes the water and food. She is doing great at handling him!

Easter was nice. I was planning on making a nice dinner with Chicken cordon bleu, but after church.... after being in the nursery for two hours.... with **16** 18mon - 3 year olds who hadn't taken a nap, and were coming down HARD from a massive sugar high...... I said SCREW IT! We broke the Sabbath and went to the Spaghetti Factory, came home and went to bed. :-D
I bought a storage thingy, that has 7 pull out drawers and is on wheels. It's perfect for our arts and craft stuff. I'm going to organize it and fill it up tonight. It will be great! I can roll it into our kitchen closet, too! Yay for organizing!
It's good to be home. :-)
