Sarah (and I) go for her sleep study tonight, down in West Valley. I am way way more nervous than she is; I'm not sure why. I just know I won't be able to sleep well, so I should just accept that (I mean, come on, who can sleep well knowing there are people watching?), but I've been nervous and edgy all day. It doesn't help that Sarah had nightmares last night and so I had to go sleep in her bed at 3AM. I have gotten barely anything done today, and Matt is having work ppl over tomorrow, which causes great anxiety.
There are only a few "major" projects left; I've listed four or five things for sale on Craigslist this week, I need a coffee table for the living room (this won't happen before company) and I need to pick up our latest painting framed and hang that, as well as hanging our other giclee and then also moving and re-hanging the paintings currently in the living room which are going into the bedroom - that all has to happen pre-company. Sarah also has her first soccer practice and game tomorrow morning, oh dear god, please let her at least get a good night of sleep (oh, and while I'm at it - please oh please let there be a Starbucks near the sleep center.. I don't remember). After the game, we should be home around noon, then I'll have from then until company shows up to get the painting thing dealt with plus the very front room needs to be picked up and I need to do something with the two boxes of junk (to ebay/craigslist/donate) in there. I think they will fit in the downstairs guest bedroom closet, so at least they will be out of sight.
In other news - Swiffer Vac, where have you been all my life? I was skeptical; an old employee in Texas told me it was great, but I didn't trust her. When my friend Mary mentioned it to me the other day while we were at Target broom shopping, I decided to trust her (she is a clean freak).. oh my god! It is seriously awesome for the basement, which is stained/sealed concrete, and for the entry/kitchen/mud area, which is hardwood. I LOVE YOU SWIFFER VAC.
