I'm sitting here in Perkins, on a beautiful Super Bowl Sunday afternoon BEFORE MY ECON MAKE-UP DISCUSSION SECTION! :( Since we didn't have school last Monday, my Econ Section has to make-up class today. I'm already so tired ... tenting this morning, tutoring meeting, and then now CLASS. Whatever happened to lazy ass Sundays?
Last night, some Aycockers went to see Lost in Translation. I found it to be really interesting. Of course, I had a greater appreciation for the movie because it was set in Japan, and I picked up on more jokes than my friends ... but what I really liked was the artistic/cinematic elements. I think some of the girls were hesitant to say what they really thought about the movie in front of me, but at the same time, I wish some of them would watch other movies than chic flicks. I told Homare afterwards to see it ...
I want to go to Japan now. I am seriously considering doing a summer and fall study abroad there.
Yesterday was also the main day for Career Week. After hearing some of the panels, I am pretty sure I am going to major in Econ and Psych. The two areas really interest me, and I realized that I enjoy all four of my classes this semester. I lucked out with some pretty awesome teachers, including two who are the heads of the departments, and one who is one of the favorite, most popular teachers here. The last, my Cultural Anthropology/Developmental Psych teacher, reminds me of my mom ... and who doesn't love my mom? :)
Ah, must head to class ... on a Sunday ...
