Republican Debate
I only saw parts of the Republican debate, but I was struck by how out of touch they are with reality. Except for the war they talked about issues that would only appeal to the far extreme of their base. Never mind not knowing what the price of a gallon of milk is, do they really think Americans are up all night wondering about homosexuality, established Supreme Court decisions from 1973, and "faith"?
In contrast, the Democrats are much more in touch. The Democrats own the territory of the most important issues of today (just take health care as an example).
It also helps that, of the three Democratic front-runners, only one is a white man.
