30 Rockefeller

Why did the Virginia Tech shooter send his manifesto to NBC? I read that he addressed the package to "30 Rockefeller Ave" instead of "30 Rockefeller Plaza" and he used the wrong zip code. In other words, all of the information he knew about the address he could have gleamed from the opening credits to Tina Fey's show "30 Rock." I wonder if the "Studio 60" package was undeliverable.

If I were in charge of NBC this past month I wouldn't have aired any clips of the manifesto (but, FWIW, I would have dumped Imus just the same). There's the argument that "the public has a right to know." But if NBC really were concerned about that then they should have pulled a Pepsi and made sure every other major news organization had equal access at the same time. That way, no one could accuse NBC of exploiting a horrible tragedy with an exclusive.

Thankfully I haven't seen any clips of the manifesto. Just like the Nick Berg tragedy, there are some corners of the web better left unseen.
