Bishop Richard Williamson, a formerly excommunicated bishop who was reinstated just last week, said on Swedish television that he believes the Holocaust didn't happen, and specifically that there were no gas chambers. He claims that only a few hundred thousand Jews were killed, rather than the normally accepted six million, and none of them by gassing. He claims that this comes to him by studying "the evidence."
Anyway, the Pope is Not Happy about this - although how he could have NOT known about this is beyond me - so Williamson has apologized. NOT for being an evil fuck. NOT for airing his misguided theories on television. He apologized for making the Pope upset. And that's about it.
Jackass.
And of course, Pope Palpatine can't excommunicate him again, not for this. Denying the Holocaust isn't heretical, so he's in no danger there.... Pity. Maybe if we could lock the Bishop in a camp of some kind where people could beat him insensible every day and watch his friends and family die, maybe then he would wipe that smug, self-satisfied smirk off his face....
