I was wondering how we would find a way to waste time and energy in the next election. Thank you, Cindy Sheehan, for making sure we don't discuss realistic solutions to our problems.... I mean, I would love to see Bush be the first President removed from office by Congress. Hell, I would buy tickets to watch him and Laura do the Nixon Walk out of the White House. I can imagine the scene perfectly - him sitting at his desk in the Oval Office, and an aide comes to tell him that the decision's been made and he has to start packing. I'm even capable of- and I'm not proud of this - turning it into a fantasy of masturbatory proportions.
But I also fantasize about having super-powers and ridding the world of evil. Someone has to sit Cindy down and explain to her the concept of the "pipe dream," and suggest that she put her energy towards causes that are actually useful.
