CNNMoney.com - Judge rules paper money unfair to blind NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- A federal judge has ruled that the U.S.Treasury Department is violating the law by failing to design and issue currency that is readily distinguishable to blind and visually impaired people.
A student once asked me how blind people in the US can tell money apart, being all the same size and everything. It hadn't occurred to me that the paper money in Japan is different sizes, and it certainly hadn't occurred to me while I was in the States. Wonder how Treasury will deal with this one....
