Calooooooortsss!!!

Funny thing: Last friday we went to the Chez to do our wonderful homework  - we're THAT efficient XD -, so we grabbed a beer each (Coki, Juan Raul and me) and started looking around the place, watching people and trying to come up with ideas. The only ideas we came up with were a vase - shaped car sticker, promotional Sharpies and our "agency" 's name: Zombie. Because that was the poster in front of us.

I brought my little sketch pad in my purse, so I started drawing some people in front of us - one of my super powers is being invisible, so I use that to fight the crime and to sketch people in random places just because I like to, and because it helps me keep my skills warm. Oh, and people far more knowledgeable than me say is good for the artist, so I do it. C8

Anyway, this time around I picked some guys across the balcony. I have to be honest here - they caught my attention at first because one of the guys was sorta cute. XD So I started sketching, and I actually filled two sheets with doodles of them - one with super quick miniature studies and the other one with what promised to be a little bit more detailed. My friends had already looked at them, and laughed at comparing them with my "models" - and all of a sudden this guy from their party came over and told me "Hey, my friends told me to ask you to show us your drawing when you're done. Finish it, we'd very much like to see it."

I think I went a little pale. I got really, really nervous, since I've only been busted twice before this and the people usually just frown at me or give me the "stop now or I'll kill you" look and I stop. So this was quite unexpected.

I tried to fool around and hope they'd forget, but some minutes later the same guy who came over turned around and gave me a "you're done? 8D" look... so I had to come over.

They looked at the quick doodles page, passed it around, and we're sooo happy with them - they asked me to scan it and send it to them, so I tore it instead (I had NEVER torn my sketch pad before *tear*) and gave it to them. They next asked me to sign it, and to give them my myspace or e-mail or something - and the guy who initially caught my attention said "I had already spotted you since you started, you know - I told my friend over here you were drawing us, but we wanted you to finish it so we could see it instead of getting you embarrassed or something".

I managed to keep this one, since they didn't see it. Badly drawn and all!! The girl on top had vibrant magenta hair, and this guy was the one I was worried about when they looked at the sketches - I was so happy at drawing him because of his size I never thought of flattery, and turns out he was the happiest one with his pic.

Turns out they have a band, and they want me to draw their logo. They're called Revolution Zebra or something, and guess -YEP, they want me to draw a zebra for them. XD

They also want me to draw them during their shows, and perhaps use that for flyers and t-shirts and stuff. Gorillaz sort of thing? o_O

I really liked them. They were a very lively group - that's why I kept on drawing them in the first place. YES, you could tell they were artists of some sort. And it turned out to be a very productive night - after all, not everyone leaves the Chez with a gig, as Coki put it.

And yes, it HAPPENED - as she put it later on the msn. We weren't drunk, because one of them did add me to the msn. So it was real.

party, glee, arty, "arting", friends
