Many people believe that certain vaccines cause autism. As somebody with asperger syndrome, a form of autism, I felt I should use my one area of experience in an actual political issue (okay, okay, I have more than one, but ONE AREA made it sound more important that I post this) and share my opinion with you all. As I know you spend hours out of your day thinking about the possibility of autism being caused by vaccines.

Some people try to avoid having their kids vaccinated because vaccinations might cause autistic spectrum disorders (and from the research I've seen that's a very real might). My opinion is that those people are idiots.

I would rather have asperger syndrome making my daily life more difficult and almost always crippling me socially than, say, a life threatening disease which will either make my daily life non existant or cripple me period.

The increased risk of losing my will to live and committing suicide due to depression caused by social failure aside, the chances of my autistic spectrum disorder killing me or reducing my life span in any way are slim.

End of opinion.
