It's stunning how throwaway phrases capture so much of their relationship and characters. From an appropriately subdued flutter of a rock-steady hand, to the easy exchange about the fate of the chemist, to she might be amenable to renegotiating, it all fits beautifully with their situation. It gives me the same feeling of "creepy but cool" that I get from these characters on-screen, and it's delicious.

(Um, possible typo? her eyes glittering with a raw exhalation - should that be "exhilaration"?)

*grins* Thank you! I'm not all that fussed about the new POTUS, but I'm very conflicted about my feelings for Agent Kellerman - if he was on the same side as my favourite characters, there would be no end to my fangirling of him. *g*

Yes, I think I liked writing this because it was (a) a chance to play with other characters and make my friend happy (b) a chance to say 'suck eggs, beyotch' to the new POTUS. Heh.
