So, I haven't seen the new Harry Potter movie yet, but I'm spoiled for several things (I trust no one has a shocked expression at this news? LOL.) and I just need to say something:
OMG HOROCRUX KISS, YOU HAVE KILLED ME DEAD
My reaction to this was rather predictable, and yet I was surprised by the force of my glee. My jaw dropped, I gaped rather unattractively, then I beamed the grin of a grinning fangirl. I may have then uttered the words, "Gosh, look at that kiss, it's just as awesome as it always was in my head.*"
Because, you know, fuck canon and the Epilogue of Doom. Although I've drifted away over the last few years, it seems I still love the same things I loved from the moment I started reading the very first book back in the day. Harry and Hermione make so much sense to me, and I realise now that I will always love them to bits.
Also, there is this little fan-made thing, which made me go "awww" quite loudly.
Edited to add: Oh goodness, I haven't posted anything in so long, I've gotten bad at expressing myself properly. I meant that naked-Harry-and-Hermione-kissing turned out to be as scorchingly hot on the screen as it always was in my head when I was writing or reading it in fic. The canon Horocrux!kiss never made me want to visualize it, because it was basically Voldemort shipping H/Hr to torment Ron and therefore didn't make my inner fangirl happy. *g*
Oh, Harry Potter fandom. I try to get out, but they keep pulling me back in. *g*
