Fannish meme taken from delle.

Comment to this entry and I'll pick three of your fandoms. Then, update your journal and answer the following questions:

01: What got you into this fandom in the first place?
02: Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
03: Favorite episodes/books/movies/etc.?
04: Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?
05: Do you think that more people should get into this fandom?

delle gave me La Femme Nikita, Happy Potter and Prison Break.

La Femme Nikita.

01: My first online fandom. We'd finally bought a computer in early 1998 and had the internet hooked up, and I was the ultimate newbie, doing random searches on 'Stuff I Loved'. You know, as you do. One of things I loved was a groovy new show called La Femme Nikita, which I'd started watching because the female lead was an Aussie girl and I liked spy shows. My very first online friend was another Aussie called Jo, who taught me about tape fairies and messageboards and gave me the links to the HHMB. And, more importantly, she showed me some links to this strange thing called fan fiction. And I boggled. And then I met ms_artisan on the HHBM, and the rest is history.

02: I'm not exactly in the fandom officially anymore, to be honest, but I have such a strong subset of LFN friends in my life that I think I'll ever leave it behind me. And I love that.

03: Most of Season One (especially Love, Charity and Gray), Hard Landing, Looking for Michael, Third Party Ripoff. Season Four and Five were patchy, to say the least, but Into the Looking Glass has to rank right up there for the Tunnel of Love. *g*

04: Well, I still own lfn__fanfiction with swatkat24, but it's been a while since I wrote anything or read anything on a regular basis. I have one giant AU WIP that I would dearly love to finish - I know what happens and how it ends etc, but actually getting it down on paper is difficult. When I do write, it's mostly Michael/Nikita, mostly NC-17. LOL.

05: I like seeing new fans of this show popping up in the fandom, particular in the fic side of things.

Harry Potter:

01: I actually had two attempts to venture into this fandom. My youngest nephew and godchild let me borrow the first three books to read. I read all three of them in one weekend, decided I loved them and adored Harry/Hermione, then got online. This was before I'd discovered the world of Livejournal, so negotiating the fan fic was a matter of wading through fanfiction.net and various websites that all seemed to have very strict rules and regulations and in which everyone else seemed to already know each other. So I gave it away for a while, but a promo picture from Prisoner of Azkaban (Harry and Hermione clinging together in the Forbidden Forest) made me go, 'HELLO' and I decided to try again. By this stage I had an LJ and was much more savvy about other fandoms, so I managed to find what I needed. Booyah!

02: I still have many Potter friends, but the ending of the series left me a little heartbroken, so I haven't been actively reading or writing for while. Like LFN, though, I don't think I'll ever really move on.

03: Prisoner of Azkaban, The Order of the Phoenix.

04: I wrote half a dozen Harry Potter stories, and I still have an unfinished WIP. It's adult Harry/Hermione pron, of course. And yes, I still prefer my own canon to JRK's, in case you're wondering.

05: That fandom is never-ending, so of course. I also love finding other H/Hr fans amongst my LJ friends. *g*

Prison Break:

01: My husband, funnily enough. He kept insisting that we start watching this new show about a prison, and I reluctantly agreed, because I hadn't seen any promos and didn't know what it was about. So we sat down to watch it and I saw Wentworth Miller in that first scene and felt as though I'd jumped off the high dive into the pool and smacked the breath out of myself. And then Michael had his first scene with Doctor Sara Tancredi, and I was GONE. I started downloading the episodes the next day and within a week had mainlined the first thirteen episodes.

02: At this point, no matter how much I despise how it ended, I don't plan on going anywhere. Because I love these characters and I love my friends and I love the writing and reading and sqeeing and the flailing and even the angry!support group ranting. Wentworth Miller and Sarah Wayne Callies have pretty much ruined me for any other pairing at this point. Ask me again in another couple of years, okay?

03: Riots, Drills and the Devil (Parts 1 and 2), Sleight of Hand, The Rat, J-Cat, Bluff, The Key, First Down, Rendezvous, The Message, Chicago, Bad Blood, The Art of the Deal, Shut Down, Quiet Riot, Going Under, Cowboys and Indians.

04: Um, yes. I've written 112 show-based stories and I forget how many RPF stories I've written. I have a couple of LJ communities and my Prison Break and Wentworth sites are still the first places I check each evening when I log on. And, of course, I write Michael/Sara NC-17 fic. I know, huge shock.

05: The more the merrier, although I'm probably not the best person to talk about investing in these characters right now, because I am slightly bitter at the ending they were given. Let's just say I'm big on denial and AU and RPF these days.

Next? *waits patiently*
