I just. I have no words. I think it's because I am speechless at the whole pointless futility of it all. Here is everything I ever wanted to see happen to this couple I love so much, and I know that it's going to be snatched away from them before the sun has even set on this day.
They're so good together. They're so good FOR each another. Look at their faces in the fourth photograph. That's love and happiness and peace right there.
I think I just found my 'happy' place to consider as my real ending, folks.
ETA: God, in the fifth picture. I've realised that Michael is sitting there, with a beer, watching his new wife dance with his best friend. And I bet he's incredibly happy and not at all emo and thinking that perhaps he should die because of all the blood on his hands because he so doesn't deserve a happy ending. I'm pretty sure he's thinking that is the best fucking day of his whole life. *howls all over again*
