Today is our last full day in this house and, more importantly as far as we're concerned, as long-time renters. Tomorrow morning, the removalists will come and take us to our very home which we will totally own in about, oh, let's say thirty years. LOL. I'm surrounded by boxes and piles of crap, more than I would like at this stage of the game, but I slept a little late this morning and I feel much better for it so I'm hoping it will all even out.
I'm very excited, a bit daunted, and a little melancholy. This is the first home since 1997 that we won't be sharing with Hamish Dog, you see, and I'm feeling his absence keenly this morning. I have the small blue biter here with me, of course, but it's not the same. *sighs* Life moves on, I know, and there's no other reason to be sad about leaving this place, but you can't argue with your heart, can you?
I had to change internet providers for this move, as there is only one type of broadband available in our future street. I shall have wireless for the first time ever! I've got the self-installation kit, and a week in between moving and Prison Break coming back from hiatus. I hope that will be enough, lol!
Thanks to everyone who was so supportive during the last few months. It's been a tough time, with my father-in-law still in and out of hospital, losing our darling Hamish Dog and then making the giant scary decision to try to get a mortgage and find a house to buy. In a few weeks, I'll be settled and unpacked and raring to plunge back into fandom and my flist and all those lovely things, so I hope you'll all still be around, lol!
The boxes are calling, so I shall see you all on the other side. Hopefully! *eyes wireless kit warily*
