Random post while procrastinating fic-wise.

I really hate Henry Rollins' music, but when he's talking? My goodness gracious me, I just can't look away.

There's something fascinating about an extremely intelligent and articulate man who looks as though he could crush skulls with his little finger.

The boy was just watching him on Foxtel and chuckling away (Henry was writing a snarky letter to Arnold the Governator) and I got caught up in the whole 'wow, Henry sure is cool' vibe and sat there with my mouth open for the next ten minutes, lol!

I just heard him years ago on JJJ. He was in Australia for the Big Day Out and he read out a competition entry. I didn't have a clue who he was, I just heard his voice... then drooled a lot.

Since then, I've seen his spoken word show several times and have all his spoken word CDs. I quite like his music too, but my tastes lie in that direction any way.

The man does have an awesome voice.

I absolutely hear you, Gen. Don't like his music (save one thing he did called Liar) but sheesh, the man is just as you said.

I was at a spoken word show of his in Dublin a good few years ago and he slagged off Bono during it.. Quite a brave thing to do in Dublin LOL... He was amazing... and quite a few people jumped up and cheered the Bono rant LOL.

That sums him up perfectly LOL

Truer words were never spoken. I've been fascinated by him for years, like more than 10.

Okay, he's passionate. I can only imagine what he must be like in bed. And, oh, ick. Or Oh..., depending on preference.

Still, I loved his comment: “And I'm not into a greatest-hits thing. I think a band, if you're going to be around, you should be moving forward and putting in the time and working for it, getting after the art. Otherwise you're just playing retreads. ... Imagine a tree that grows canned peaches. It's nothing I want to do.”

Not the most grammatically correct comments I've read, but very true (and I liked his image of the tree...) I wish more musicians felt the same way - perhaps then we'd have access to more than just the "greatest hits" censored for the FCC and peddled via Wal-Mart...
