Odds And Ends...
As I sit here in my quiet apartment, sleeping mate still curled up in bed with Hagbard snoozing up at his feet, sleeping houseguest on the air-mattress behind me, and a kitten curled up on MY feet - I thought I'd share a few photos that have been taken in the course of the past few days. 'Yote got more shots of Momma Cat, and my friend and I went to the observation deck at the top of Carew Tower yesterday...
Momma Cat just sat there, and posed for the camera. :D
Starting southeast looking across the river at Covington, and moving counterclock wise around the building - some spectactular shots, especially of Union Terminal (aka "The Old Fashioned Radio" as my sister and I always called it). :D
Roebling Bridge (the prototype for the Brooklyn Bridge, btw)
Just to prove how high up we were - looking DOWN on the PNC Tower
Looking east, towards Newport KY and Mt. Adams - this is where the fireworks will originate during Riverfest, between the Purple People Bridge and the Southgate Bridge
Looking northeast, towards Mt. Auburn - that's Christ Hospital in the middle at the top of the hill...
Looking north, over-looking Over The Rhine towards Clifton and the University of Cincinnati (the buildings at the top of the hill)
West towards Price Hill (the side of town we live on)
Using my zoom - a couple of shots of Union Terminal (it's totally one of my favorite buildings in town)
And looking west towards Indiana.
