When Cincinnati and Atlanta Collide *snickersnicker*

So...long long ago in a galaxy far far FAR away, I was married to this guy who did a pagan radio show on 88.3 WAIF.FM - the local public radio station - here in Cincinnati. His timeslot (4am-6am) followed two other pagan shows - Pagan Outlook ran from 2am-3am, and The Witching Hour ran from 3am-4am. We tended to show up at 2am because he liked helping out the other programmers...and since the folks who put together the Witching Hour were also part of the local Rocky Horror cast (The Denton Affair, for all you locals who'll remember), well...it was controlled chaos at best. Those were fun times - I met some amazing people doing interviews, and made some good friends among the folks at the radio station. Of course, gradually all the shows stopped producing (everybody eventually got burned out), and I lost touch with a bunch of them.

Fast forward to Origins Gaming Con 2 years ago. My mate and I were wandering around the dealers room the last day, trying to use the last of the vouchers I'd gotten from my crazy stint at volunteering, and I hear a voice. "Euphrates...is that you?????"

*blink*

There was she who played Magenta in the Denton Affair and was the female part of the couple who ran the Witching Hour, working the Steve Jackson Games area. *blink* Turns out, she's poly now (which considering some of the conversations that were had at the radio show about my lifestyle...that's just priceless *grin*). AND married to a friend of a friend of 'Yote's (go figure...I *totally* can't take that boy anywhere) who writes for White Wolf (funny that). :) AND has a livejournal - and thus greebotrill re-entered my life. She and her clan moved to Atlanta recently, which is of course another interesting coincidence (considering my own ties to Atlanta these days).

Yesterday she put this up on her LJ...and I couldn't stop giggling after I read it, and HAD to share.

Proof you can take the girl out of Cincinnati, but you can't get the Cincinnati out of the girl...

I think I'm going to have to pack a care package and bring it along for our next trip down.
*giggles*
