For an episode I was terrified of watching, I was extremely pleasantly surprised.
It just must be said. Allison owns all. She can do so very much with so little. She breaks my heart over and over. That scene by the dumpster was chilling. She just acts the hell out of everything.
I couldn't believe when evil Chloe threw that unsuspecting man into the Dungeon of death and closed the door with a gleaful smile. What? Didn't that happen? From the way some were talking, you'd sure think that's what went down.
Seriously. I was SO relieved that none of the spoilers played out like they sounded. When I first read them, I said 'they can't possibly be THIS bad' all the while afraid it was THAT bad. This makes me a lot less nervous about episodes to come now. Chloe may be screwing up, but she's not being shown in an evil light. She's just trying to save everyone.
A lot of this episode had me rolling my eyes. I'm just going to focus on what I loved.
*happy sigh* My Chlark heart beat strong tonight. It got a jump start. Clark was SUCH a great friend tonight. It felt like it should be. He was caring and really offered comfort. He could tell Chloe was upset and it mattered! He pushed her to open up. He didn't seem to want to leave her alone, but he did as she asked. I loved him for that. This was the best Chlark since Legion, for me.
And, you know, he lifted his shirt for her. That will always win him points. Take it off next time Clark. We need to make sure you're ok. Who else thinks the Davis/Clark smackdown should be done shirtless?
I really wanted Chloe to tell him the truth. I do not like the lieing. Clearly it's killing her to keep this from him, but she feels she has to. My heart broke for her tonight. You think she's been through enough hell for one year, yet the writers don't seem to agree. One line that stood out for me is her saying she forgot to put on a smile through it all. I really hate that she feels she always has to do that. I don't care how many mistakes she's been making or if she's wrong, it is so wonderful to see Chloe let our some of that frustration and all the pain she's been holding in for so long. She's finally coming back to life. She's still going through hell, but she's not just pasting on that fake serene smile that made me want break my t.v.
Another squeal of joy for the official confirmation of DIVORCE. The Satanic pact has been broken! Yes I do see the Chimmy marriage as pure evil. Davis/Doomsday helped destroy it. Is it any wonder I love him so much?
The promo made me squeal with delight on Chlark and Chlavis levels! Chloe's getting some loving from a real man! Cave Clark is out in full force! Two hotties fighting over Chloe! Is it next Thursday yet?
