Harray Pottah!

It's funny how I never read the books and still always end up seeing the Harry Potter movies the first or second day their out.

Went to the midnight (actually it says 11:59 pm on the ticket) showing in Austin, and I have to admit it was as enjoyable as the first three. I'm sure most people were just thinking "Hurry up and show Voldemort!" I was just thinking, "Hurry up and show the actor who plays Voldemort!" I kept getting antsy for Ralph Fiennes to come on screen, but he did in all due time.

Zev assures me that just like the last film, there were a lot of scenes editted out, mostly scenes that dealt with the other characters in the movie. It clocked in at about two and a half hours, and for someone who has never read the books, I think it worked nicely.

But why does Snape continue to become the comic relief more and more as the movies progress? Alan Rickman is becoming the Hugo Weaving (Matrix, mostly the sequels) of Harry Potter. Yeah yeah, I know he becomes more pivotal in the sixth book. I'm just saying is all...

Hey!!! I'm gonna be in El Paso in 9 hours!!! I get to see Mandy!!! And my family!!! And Noises Off!!!

Then again... I have a test in 5 hours... no exclamation marks... just ellipses...
