In a show where color is important, and red is Very Bad, to the point where Kripke literally gives us a sign that we're to be wary of red things:
giving somebody a name that is synonymous with "red" doesn't really seem like a coincidence to me. So there's a precedent for that kind of name significance.
I started getting the Dean vibe from Amelia early on, and ash48 had an interesting picspam post that, among other things, looked at some of the costuming choices they've made for her that reflect the way they dress Dean, and I was really surprised at how close some of that mirroring is.
It was the thing with the dog that started me thinking about the trapped aspect of the flashbacks, because Sam was not in any position to take care of an injured animal, and when she guilted him into keeping the dog, that was the first sign that she wasn't going to be good for Sam.
