Slept in until 11, then my hubby and I traveled to Pottsville to meet up with my son and daughter-in-law to tour the Yuengling Brewery and have an early dinner at The Wheel. We don't get much opportunity to get together with them, so I was just so excited today worked out. The tour was very interesting from a historical point of view. For instance, we got to walk down in the caves beneath the brewery and hear all about what happened during the prohibition and such. There was a tasting at the end.
The Wheel was a local restaurant featuring design your own grilled cheese sandwich, and had crab macaroni and cheese and other yummy stuff! My sandwich was a special with a crabby patty, melted Muenster cheese, mango and pineapple in it. It was a lovely day for a walk from the brewery to the grill. The sun was shining and a light warm breeze was blowing.
We had such wonderful time chatting and catching up! Before we left, I got a nice pict of my son and daughter-in-law. They didn't want me to post it online, but at least I have it for me.
On the way home, my hubby and I stopped for ice cream. I love the Dutch Chocolate Delite!
Tomorrow is supposed to be another beautiful day. I am looking forward to the plans we have in place for Father's Day!
