ok so my lifes been pretty mundane lately, ya know IMing people is always funtimes, and i get to go to the occassional rock show, but thats pretty much it, i expect it to pick up after my surgery (on the 15th) with lots of rockshows pending and outings with my friends (geez i said outings, how weird)
ok so lets see... i got an ipod last week, i love it like woah, i uploaded like 500+ songs onto it so far, but have barely made a dent in my cd collection. haha
on thursday night i went into the city (by my lonesome cuz laur had a hot date) which was really kewl cuz i think i found my independence while walking around penn station so be happy for me.... OH no wait.. i just found the starbucks, my bad... hahahahahaha
ok so anyway i was there alone, and i cab-ed it over to pianos to check out paul's live set. the place is small, and i felt weird going in alone, but i figured out he was playing upstairs (cuz thats where i heard music comming from) i walked up there, and said hi, got a huge hug, and a few insults about my shoes (apparently he owns the rights to two tone chucks, but my laces are still kewl) and then i sat down and just chilled till the show started, he played two nonconsecutive sets, and the first set was the upcomming album, it was amazing, i cant wait to get my hands on a copy, but hes still recording it, so i guess i will have to wait a while, but still Yay!!
the second set was new songs (and one old one he slipped in there, but i wasnt telling on him) including an amazing new love song written for the new girlfriend (sad) but it was an amazing song, it gave me chills. and then he asked which one of the three songs (oh darlin, creep, and i forget the other one) we wanted to hear, the audience picked creep, i wanted oh darlin, (sad face time) but whatever, creep was still good...it was like i got my own personal show, cuz there really wasnt a ton of people there... so after the set he asked me to grab the cab while he got paid and so i went outside, got a cab right away, and he dove in (practically) and we rode up to penn. let me just say the ride was interesting, i found out what was new in the world of wenzel, we talked about a few interesting things, and his writing, recording, and gf...yeah, shes in jersey, ewww i hate jersey.. then we talked about rays pizza, and how i should ride the subway in a surgical mask, and how he is too titchey about being in the city... we got to penn, and the cabbie dropped us off at the wrong entrance, and walking through penn with paul was a little much, i loved it, it still makes me smile...so he got on his train(thank god! i dont think i would have heard the end of it if he missed it) and i waited for mine, and when i got back to the station it was snowing!! the sky was the most beautiful shade of pink, and the snow was huge and pretty and amazing (i havent been allowed out in the snow in a while)so i was wandering around the train station awestruck at the snow, and i went home, and talked to lauren, and then went to bed, it was truly a lovely, lovely night
so yeah, then i had to go to work the next day.. LAME

ok yeah so thats my update about thursday night, it was perfect (well, close to it) and it made me SOOOO happy...
this week... TROOP 47!!!!!
