Heh, my esophagus is vibrating
I saw Earth and Sun O))) last night at The Nightlight and although I was quite tired from a busy weekend it was very worth it.
It's a special treat to stand in front of lots of speakers playing very low notes very loud and very slow. And oh my, did Sunn O))) stack the speakers (though they had nothing on Jucifer). The best is the point where the sound waves become less audible and more physical. I noticed how note changes would move the vibration to a different part of my body. I remember giggling when there was a change from a lower to a higher pitched note and it tickled my throat. There's probably no other band that has to stay on top of their tuning as this one. There were points when someone was a tad off and you could hear the slow "wub, wub" that would speed up as someone adjusted until it disappeared. The theatrics were fun too. Except that the god damn fog machines were a bitch on the contacts.
In other news, I'm very antsy. I've had to work to convince myself to stay home tonight.
