While you were away...
So today I found out that I could change my skin in Minecraft. I instantly abused this power to dress up as Sherlock Holmes (RDJ) for about two minutes before I creeped myself out and had switched to Amy Pond. (I didn't even consider the Hotson one, just... No.) I don't think S approved either, although he's otherwise very patient. Except for the time I got attacked by a squid.
Work is dull but ongoing, Edith is planning a BBQ to celebrate the end of the project week after next. She keeps putting out memos about it with clip-art suns and sausages on. She wants it to be dry 'because of the kiddies' but Gary reckons he can get some Pimms in under the guise of iced-tea. It's going to be at her house. I am kind of excited to see her lair.
Darren continues to be very sweet. He took me to the cinema the other night.
Murphy continues to be very mad, although as ever he refuses to display these tendencies in front of other people, preferring to curl up and look every inch the pathetic stray. As soon as they leave he goes mad. I've bought him a number of toys, all of which lead sad, subjugated lives. One has taken to hiding under the couch. Having come home to the scattered remains of it's brethren more than once, I'm inclined to leave it there. Hopefully he'll be properly healed in the next few weeks, and I can sort out a cat-door and such for him.
Sis and Brother-In-Law came over for dinner. Gave them the goss on Darren whilst Niece rolled around the carpet, quite startling Murphy, who apparently wasn't aware that humans came in such small sizes. I caught him patting at her when she was sleeping later, like he was worried she would bite or explode. She thought he was great, he thought she drooled too much. (Or perhaps I'm just projecting, that child produces more drool than I would have thought possible.) Sis is pleased I've found someone, she's already got the gleam of someone who can hear wedding bells. I haven't dared tell Mum or Dad.
Went and bothered the very lovely Mike and the very fragrant Jenny in their home the other night. Strong smell of paint, but the wall is starting to look lovely.
