Things are getting better.
I had a talk with John, things are settling down now. The weekend was horrible, but many thanks to Harry for coming by and winkling me out of my Pit of Despair. To those others who sent support, thank you.
I took Murphy's collar off. He's celebrating by talking to me. A lot. He won't follow me around, but he will yell abuse from the armchair and attempt to trip me up when I'm in the kitchen, as though it will make me feed him more. (It won't. Stupid bugger has no off switch and will literally eat himself sick.) He doesn't like the cast, but it tastes bad, so he leaves it alone. The learning process for this was long and arduous. He blames me. I can see hate in his eyes everytime he bites it and not only does it taste bad, but it jars his leg. Silly blighter.
Things are picking up at work. I got in on Monday and finished up going over the old stuff, so I can concentrate on the current project now.
