Ooof!
Well...a lot of stuff going on in my life these days... it all started at the end of Jan, when I went to resign a lease, and got a shocker...they wanted to up my rent a whole $150 per month for next year!!
Of course I can't afford that, so I decided to get a roommate. And that roommate is....my sister! She had this bonkers plan to move to Detroit, away from anyone she actually knows, just because she wants to be in a big city instead of the middle of nowhere, Iowa. So...I suggested she come up here instead.
Only thing is...she's jobless, and she doesn't seem very functional to me. I'm going to be stressed until she gets a job, and I'm a bit annoyed that she didn't get out to apply anywhere today. At least she has put in one application, at the campus food service where I work too, but I have a feeling they aren't hiring her, and she needs to keep looking, and fast!
We've got a lease signed for next year, and I've got management to agree that she can stay as my guest for a month...but only a month. So...I hope she is feeling the pressure, but when she just lays in bed all day and doesn't put in any applications, it gives me worries.
Hoping she does something tomorrow...and debating what I should say to her too, to make her understand how important this is, and not sound like mom lecturing her.
