Immigrants (often referring to illegals) take jobs that regular Americans don't want to do.

I think true..in all honesty, I see plenty of jobs that seem to be staffed almost entirely by foreigners. Student workers at my own workplace are nearly entirely middle eastern students...it amazes me, but there is usually only a tiny handful of white students who even apply.
I think a lot of americans have a feeling of "I'm too good for that job" and as the unemployment rate seems to rise, I think part of it is just that many unemployed Americans just refuse to take jobs that are available, but that they feel are beneath them.
I'm not necessarily saying there is anything wrong or right with that, but I do think it supports the main point. There are some jobs that would never be filled if it were not for immigrant labor
