Worlds Collide

Finally back home in Aus.

Didn't manage to get to Beijing for photos in Tiananmen square and the great wall as my job in Shanghai was extended for another week due to freighting issues.

As I wanted to be back for a friends birthday (a 60th) this little adventure will have to be postponed.

I was glad I came back as the birthday party was a hoot. Although my friend was celebrating a senior moment the party had all the fun an frivolity I enjoy. Not hard as it was at my favorite club Abode.

Its was interesting as the birthday boy was someone I have known and worked with for over 20 years a lot of guests/friends knew me in my straight persona and it was interesting to see their ( positive) reaction to the frock wearing persona who they didn't know or had suspected about.

It didn't tone down my behavior though.

I thought I had commissioned enough frocks for myself on the last trip, but one thing led to another and before I knew it I was bringing home 7 new frocks for myself. It was funny to see my tailors reaction to the gogo frock inspiration and the chinese version of an A line frock but as i said before capitalism come overcome most barriers in china.

I think my current favorite is a frock inspired by something Natalie Bassingthwaighte wore in a Rouge Traders video. 4 fittings and $90 later I had this frock

Pictures a bit blurry but at that stage of the evening so was I.

Ciao
