Estelle was one of the first people Bellis met in Luceti. She thinks Estelle is an interesting person who doesn't ask overly-personal questions or try to force her way into Bellis' life. As such, Bellis sees her as a possible friend. Unfortunately, Bellis has twice embarrassed herself in front of Estelle, once by almost crying and once when Estelle saw some personal notes that Bellis had written in her journal.

Razette spent some time in Bellis' bath during a blizzard. Bellis doesn't know much about Razette because of Razette's limited communication. She's never seen a Xenian quite like Razette, and seeing her brings back her interest in biology. The hugging makes her a little uncomfortable, though.

Mammon spent a time at Bellis' apartment during the blizzard. During this time, they had a very interesting conversation about the Malnosso. The swapped theories and their conversation helped Bellis form her first escape plan, which ended up failing miserably. Still, Mammon seems like a very intelligent person to Bellis.

Mercury attacked Bellis in the woods between buildings. At first, Bellis thought it was because of her contacting the Malnosso, but it turned out she was just a random victim. Bellis does not believe Mercury will seek her out specifically to attack her again, but nor does she plan to let Mercury anywhere close to her.
