Second Codex [Action]

Dec 27, 2009 17:55

[Despite the cold, Bellis is standing on the southernmost bridge, smoking a cigarillo and looking out at the river.  She's pretty deep in thought, right now, so she might not even notice if you approach. If you look at her wings, you might notice that they're looking a bit ragged. She's been pulling out some of the feathers.]

[Doop de doop. Here comes Atsuki down this bridge here, thinking a little himself, but never too much not to notice people. Like this woman here smoking, that's noticeable. Approach and...]

Good afternoon.

[She gives him a cold look, but speaks politely.]

Good afternoon.

[Well, he does some cold looks himself there. But all the same, he might as well press on now that he started-]

It's cold out today. [Indeed, colder today than other days]

Yes. It is.

[...Well then, to the point-] Your wings like a little worse for wear.

[Was it that obvious that she'd panicked a little bit a couple of times and pulled out some of the feathers?]

They're molting, yes.

[Maybe not to most people, but Atsuki Saijo is a international teenaged super secret agent (tm) and thus is rather observant. Because he's just like that.

...But then, he sees in her figure a faint red flash mixed with a slightly stronger blue flash. He doesn't bother to try to use Σ... yet. But those flashes all but tell him that that was a lie]

Does it hurt? [He's not tried messing this his wings yet, sadly]

[Yes. It had been very painful...]

Not really. I don't even usually notice when they fall out.

[And a flash of green... really, he's tempted to use SIG-MA to try to figure out what caused the damaged. And if it was known to her, perhaps why. But to prompt that-]

I'd heard that removing them can kill you though.

[She already knows this. That's why she didn't try to cut them off or find a biothaumaturge that could remove them.]

I've heard the same thing.

[Going strictly by the canon this is where Atsuki would activate Σ and get, well, the very, very skimest of all basics of what Bellis informed Goroh of Remaking and such. Permission to do as such?]

[Go right ahead. I'm not familiar with Atsuki's canon, so I'm not entirely sure how it works. If there's anything you need to know about Bellis' canon, or anything I should know about what she experiences contact me on AIM or just make a note of it like we're doing here.]

[I'll be sure to do that! But or now, Atsuki activates Σ. Obviously, there's no real visible signs other than his left hand being raised just a bit. But that's normal. He searches, and finds two worms there. One of them is stronger than the other, but it's only a stage-2. He erases those... and then imprints. The whole process takes about five seconds]

[And then it's time for the inner monologue-
Remaking... she feels there is a similarity between the situation here and how criminals are treated in her world.

The process she describes seems rather cruel, but her mind is forcibly analytical... it almost feels like a weak telepath's.

Even so, this explains her vexation at the wings.

And with that finished...]

I'm Atsuki Saijo, by the way. A "new feather."

[She pauses for a moment, having lost her train of thought.]

I'm Bellis Coldwine.
