I have an ooh shiny problem. This is not news. But did you know that "Oooh Shiny" can easily translate to "Ohhh SOFT"
I totally found a yarn shop where... you can make your own yarn. It's in Portland. It's called
Yarnia. They have walls of fiber and you pick what you want... tell them how much you need and they'll put it in the machine and make it for you right there.
And I've done math... If I'm good I can get enough to do an afghan for about the same as the yarn I can find here in town. good being not using expensive things like cashmere and bamboo and Alpaca and mohair and wool... wool is kind of expensive. But I think I can pull off a soft bulky yarn if I'm good.
The Parents and I are going down the gorge to check out the waterfalls. So if I get yarn, you'll be seeing it. And Progress of the afghan I'm going to make with a cool seeded rib stitch.
I just don't know what color... Blue... Green... I have a quilt with a fabric that has Blue, Green and Purple... And I love the combo... I'm just not sure how it would work for a yarn to have all three.
Perhaps we'll see.
