In an exercise in optimism....(A phrase I can only spell with spell check for some reason...)
I'm writing about art.
Because I will hear back from someone about a job and therefor be moving to my own place again....
I want art. I didn't really do much with my places in CA and I think this was a symptom of unhappiness.
So my plan... Find a rug for the living room. Preferably a deep pile that has nice colors... Dad is getting tired of losing me in the home improvement stores... They have rugs of the size that I want and they're pretty, I just have to choose one. I'm undecided about pattern. I want multiple colors... And I'm not sure if I want geometric or floral or what. I just know I want colors... Possibly blue or green or red or purple... Depends on what I find when I actually have money to get a rug.
For the walls I actually have some really really geeky stuff to get up.... My Marauder's Map. A platform 9 3/4 plaque... My wand... My sister (Who is awesome) got me a 'film artifact box' with Harry Potter on it... It has cool stuff. Quidditch World Cup ticket. Um..OH Sirius Black Wanted poster that totally needs a frame for the wall. Wow. My Sister is promoting a very geeky addiction.
I'd like something big and cool for the living room. I'm not sure what exactly. Just something I like... Sometimes I think I could go with cool old movie posters... But I'd have a hard time with ones I like enough to put up on the wall... Like the Singin' in the rain one is cool with the three umbrellas... But I'd rather have Gene and Donald dancing to Moses Supposes because the color in that scene is cooler.... Or Gotta Dance.
I could go with a huge grouping of cooler smallish stuff too. This is a consideration that could be cooler... I'm just not sure.
But I don't think I could do a Wall O' Graham and still be original And a Wall of Wizard stuff could be a bit over the top
Also. Zoey needs a kitty hang out. Something tallish with a few places to nap and hide to jump out at people in.
I'd buy her a castle... But I don't think it's what she would like best. Maybe more like this... Just not too huge.
