The gadget that changed my life...

I visited on of my favourite shops this week - Lakeland Limited. This is the kitchenware/household gadget shop that has all sorts of things you didn't know you needed. I reported a while ago that I thought the cafe was crap. It must have been a widely held feeling as the cafe closed about 3 months ago. I hadn't been since to see how they had rearranged the shop. Also they usually have a good range of Christmas food stuffs (fancy biscuits and chocs etc) which I like to browse.

Well! As ever, I discovered A Thing that was really useful. I bought one of these and got it into immediate use. My handbags had always resided in a cupboard in here. It had got to the stage where I shoved one back in and closed the door very quickly, so others would not fall out. (I do rather like handbags...)

In tidying I did find a few things I'd forgotten *hangs head in shame*. I found a small navy blue bag I have no memory of at all. I've decided it must have been one of my Mums that I kept, because I cannot remember buying it or being given it. It's a very useful size, so I'll get it into circulation. I also rediscovered a Very Smart big black bag with silver buckle. This was the first really smart bag P ever bought me (probably from Italy, but I can't now remember) and I did use it quite a lot. But it tended to be 'for smart' and we probably don't do smart all that much, and I have forgotten about it. That will most definitely get back into use now!

I seem to have a 'throwing out' and 'tidying' streak at the moment, so I am keeping going. I so rarely feel able to get rid of clutter that I don't want to stop while the urge is upon me. I am going to attack the spare wardrobe and have another big clothes clear out. Summer things that didn't get worn this year are going!
