A quick film update

Duplicity was good fun but not the best film I'll see all year. We were all double and triple crossed and I did not see the end coming. Hubby loves Julia Roberts so it was no hardship for him to see Clive at the cinema for the second time in a very short time. The prospect of three days in a fancy italian hotel suite with Clive? Oh yes please! Hell I'd probably manage three days with Julia to stay in THAT roman hotel room! [It turns out that room was in a mansion in New York but the idea of it being in Rome was wonderful!]

Flashbacks of a Fool was quite enjoyable, but don't watch it simply for Daniel Craig. He's not in it that much. The younger version of him is really the star. See how the 1970's are all the rage now? I thought the atmosphere and look of the 70's was well captured. Roxy Music. Do I need to say more?

The Invasion. What a big pile of poo this film is. Dan stars with the woman Nutmeg3 calls 'the unmoving forehead of doom'. Seriously there is nothing on that woman that moves. Despite wearing the most skin tight polo neck known to womankind and having to run from zombies not one tiny muscle on her form wobbled. Nothing. And what a waste of Jeremy Northam.

The only vaguely positive thing I can say about this is that yet again (3rd time to my knowledge) Mr Craig co-starred with Jeffrey Wright. There is RPS just waiting to be written there - seriously we can't wait for Bond script writers on this one.

Love, Honour and Obey. Despite what it said on the cover (and the review at the bottom of the imdb page) I thought this was highly missable. The redeeming feature is that it was cheap so I didn't waste much money on it. The only interesting thing about this was to consider what the actors concerned have gone on to do since making this. It was the Brit Pack of upcoming actors at the time it was made (Jude Law for example looks SOOOOOO young in this).
