A completely random list of things of importance, at least to me.
1. Taylor and Brandon are going out of town this weekend. This, of course, makes me happy. An entire weekend with no kids means I get to do all sorts of things I can't do when they're here. Of course, before they go, there's packing that needs to be done, which my children can't seem to do themselves. Between tennis for Brandon and physical therapy for Taylor (we just managed to squeeze in another session today before she skips town) they're just really busy. But, while I scramble around buying travel sized toothpastes and searching through messy rooms to find khaki pants and green shirts (don't ask), I just have to remind myself of the 72 hours of freedom I will be granted for all my hard work.
2. My cousin's getting married next week. She lives in Kentucky. She's having her bachelorette party and stuff this weekend. Since the kids were going out of town, I was going to go to to Louisville and hang out. That is until I remembered that I have a gas bill and a electric bill I have to pay. And since electricity and hot water are important (not to mention cooking because a gas stove without the gas is just useless) I don't get to go have fun. I'm trying to look on the bright side, which is that there are plenty of things to do in town this weekend, but being away while the kids were away would have been nice.
3. I have to buy shoes this weekend. I need a pair of cute black sandals to go with my outfit for the wedding. But I need something comfortable, with not too high a heel because I really don't want to be stuck all day in four inch heels. I'm thinking something strappy with a kitten heel or maybe a wedge. I just have to see what's out there. At least I'm not so broke I can't buy shoes. If that were the case, life would really be over.
And next time I do a list, I'm going with bullet points instead of numbers. Numbers have their place, but bullets are cooler looking.
