Last night I got no sleep. Stressed about work, no doubt. I read through the emergency surgery section of the Barefoot Doctor's Manual, which strangely did not include setting breaks or a tracheotomy, but did provide instructions for doing a vasectomy in the field. I seriously hope people are getting more guidance than that. The instructions are simple, but really not that thorough. I also enjoyed the section that informs the reader that the revolutionary optimism of the proletariat is the key to speedy recovery. Tell that to the dude that's just had an emergency field vasectomy.
My cat just ate my cereal. That's what I get for typing. And also for having cereal for dinner.
In other petty annoyances, my phone has died again, proving that I am somehow still destroying batteries, just by being near them. I swear I recharge my phone more than is natural. But how can I use this power for evil? It's a puzzler.
I also got a lot of early-morning yard work accomplished, as soon as the sun was up. Mulching, trimming, composting, weeding, moving things around to get more of the winter sun. I still have swiss chard coming up, and likely will until it freezes for good. Good thing I like chard.
And I can't actually remember why I was posting in the first place.
