Minnesota...ness

So I'm in Minnesota for work. It was sort of a last minute thing. I hate leaving home right after I adjust back, plus getting over whatever I caught at the Copenhagen conference. However on the plus side I'm hanging out with my husband. After work today we wandered around SuperTarget and then made a great dinner. Work was great. I'm borrowing an empty office, which is nice. Got a free lunch off my old advisor. And I made some progress on the data archaeology project I'm here for. Well, one of the reasons I here. There's more archaeology to go. Digging through wonky code in multiple languages... always a joy.

BUT, Friday we're going to the Minnesota State Fair. Very excited. I am making a list of the food I want... the french fries are great, hard to beat the roasted corn (here in the corn belt), love my pronto pups... not sure what else. Probably some all you can drink milk. See some cows, some butter heads. Love the butter heads. Some fancy chickens. Oh yeah, and the UofM apple section. Honeycrisp apple cider. Yum. Maybe see some pigs being born. See the new tractors. It is a great state fair. I think we're going with some of Juho's peeps from 3M. Should be lots of fun.
