“This is so damn frustrating!”
Yesung was pacing back and forth in his room in his matching cow pajamas trying to decide whether or not to accept Kibum’s humble offer. It had already been a couple of weeks since Kibum’s confrontation backstage, and well, Yesung still didn’t know what to do. His hands would alternate from being shoved through his hair to pulling at his shirt.
“If I was to talk to him, we would get closer, we would bond, right? Bonding is good. It’s really good. And I can learn more about him and he can get more comfortable around me…. But what if I say something that’s offensive to him? What if he gets mad at me and doesn’t want to see my face ever again? And he doesn’t talk to me! ...Well less than he normally does.”
Yesung walked to the desk, his hands threading through his dark locks once again. “What would you do?”
Ddangkoma simply stared at his owner’s face and slowly turned away to take a nap in his tank.
A sigh of defeat left Yesung’s lips as he plopped down on his bed. “You’re no help at all.” His hands covered his face as he let his back hit the bed. Thinking about his opinions and the possible outcomes wasn’t helping Yesung in the slightest. Sooner or later, Kibum wouldn’t be willing to talk to him because Yesung was being so slow and indecisive about accepting his dongsaeng’s offer or not.
“Just go to him already,” came a tired voice from across the room.
Yesung lifted his hands and glanced towards the bed opposite his where his roommate, Ryeowook, lay.
“Oh,” Yesung started, “I thought you were already asleep Wookie-ah.”
Ryeowook shifted from his back to his side so he could face his hyung. “No one could sleep with you pacing and talking to yourself like that.” He propped his head on his hand. “So why haven’t you gone to Kibum-ah yet?”
Yesung sat back up and rested his elbows on his knees, his hands dangling. “I…can’t decide.”
“Decide what? You either want to talk to him or you don’t. Pick one,” Ryeowook said.
“But what if I say something completely stupid to him?” Yesung asked exasperatedly.
“With you, it’s bound to happen,” Ryeowook put bluntly.
Yesung fell backwards onto the bed again. “At least Ddangkoma was polite.”
“Look hyung,” Ryeowook said, ignoring Yesung’s comment, “You like Kibum-ah right? Maybe you feel even more towards him.”
“Your point?” Yesung asked, not moving from his position. He knew better than to deny the truth to his closest friend. Ryeowook didn’t even have to ask Yesung, he could tell what his best friend was thinking, or in this case what he felt towards others.
“If you want to get closer to him, to show him how much more you could be to him, then this is the perfect opportunity! You’re worrying over nothing!”
“But, it’s just so intimidating, being alone, in a closed room, just the two of us. I’m more than likely to suffer from a mental breakdown.”
Ryeowook scoffed. “Don’t be such a drama queen. We already have Heechul-hyung, and that’s all we can handle.”
“At least Heechul-hyung doesn’t have these kinds of issues,” Yesung muttered. “Oomph!”
Yesung removed the pillow that was thrown - rather rudely he would like to add - at him from his face and gave his dongsaeng a look of annoyance.
“Throwing stuff at me isn’t going to help me go to him!”
Ryeowook rolled his eyes and laid back down into his blanket. “I was just hoping the impact would help you think properly for once.”
Yesung let out another sigh. “Nothing can help me.” He threw the pillow back at his dongsaeng and settled into his own bed.
“Night Wookie-ah.” And with that he shut off the light and turned to face the wall. Soon, Yesung’s soft snores were heard throughout their room.
Ryeowook pushed the covers off of his body and got up after a few minutes. 'Don’t worry hyung, I’ll help you.' A smile grew on his face as he opened the door and tiptoed down the hallway. 'And I’ve got the perfect plan.'

The next morning Yesung slowly opened his eyes to find the room unusually dark. Thinking he got up early, Yesung snuggled back in his bed but glanced at the clock next to him.
…9:38?! The blankets were soon flung off of his body and Yesung ran out of his room and into the quiet, empty hallway.
“Where is everyone?” He asked himself out loud, scratching his head. Yesung turned around to go back into his room when he saw a note attached to the door.
'Sungie-ah!,
Sorry, everyone was complaining that they needed to go to the store for more supplies they needed around the house. And, well, you looked so cute sleeping, we decided to leave you be. Don’t worry we should be back in a few hours, knowing a few of your dongsaengs. Help yourself to breakfast, Hannie-ah left them in the microwave. And please don’t break anything while we’re gone.
Love,
Teukie-umma~'
So I’m alone, Yesung thought to himself. He stretched his arms out and let out a yawn. At least I have more time to think on my own. Yesung began to plod his way to the kitchen, imagining the chaos that was most likely taking place wherever the rest of his members were.
Yesung took the food from the microwave and set it on the table. Now all he needed was his beloved coffee. He opened the proper cabinet and automatically reached for the can, but only felt air. Blinking, Yesung stared into the cupboard and saw the coffee wasn’t there. Pushing around random cans and containers, Yesung grew worried and aggravated at the lack of coffee. He walked a few steps back and eyed the cupboard up and down. His eyes narrowed at the sight of his coveted coffee can, as it sat on the top shelf.
Yesung reached high for the can, but found himself a few inches short. Even when he went on his tiptoes and jumped, the can still sat on that shelf, safe from his grasp.
Damn my same hands, Yesung cursed to himself.
He turned and went to the table where a few chairs were. Yesung grabbed onto the back of one of them and intended to pull it out, only to find he couldn’t move it. Frustrated, Yesung pulled and tugged on it harder and harder. He gave the chair a death stare and kneeled down on the floor to see the legs were glued to the floor.
An exasperated groan and kick to the chair later, Yesung was back to glaring at the can that still sat on the top shelf, gleaming in the artificial light, as if it was taunting him. Looking around the kitchen, Yesung failed to find any ladder or stool to help him at all. Instead, Yesung came up with the brilliant idea of stacking a bunch of different boxes on top of each other.
With as much caution as he could muster, Yesung carefully put one foot on top of his cardboard mountain. Seeing it unaffected, Yesung grinned and looked up at the target. Now you are mine! Soon his other foot joined his partner to rest on Yesung’s mountain. Reaching his arm out to grasp the can, Yesung could already taste the coffee, warm in his mouth.
“Hyung, what are you doing?”
The sudden sound of someone’s voice made Yesung flinch and turn around. The movement caused his mountain to finally collapse and Yesung mentally cried as he fell on his bottom on the kitchen floor, so close to finally having his caffeinated beverage.
Kibum stared at his hyung who just kept sitting on the cold floor, a dejected look on his face. “Hyung?” He called out, wondering what was wrong.
Yesung’s bottom lip jutted out as he looked at his dongsaeng and then the can of coffee he was working so hard to get and then back at Kibum.
Kibum followed Yesung’s line of sight and gave a small smile. His hyung acted like such a child when it came to his coffee. Walking to the storage closet, Kibum wrapped his hand around the handle of the broom resting in the corner.
Yesung watched as Kibum walked to him with the broom. Moving over to give Kibum more room, Yesung watched as his dongsaengs held the broom right above the bristles and used the other end to knock the can of coffee down and into his other hand. Putting the broom back down, Kibum turned and crouched down to his hyung who was still sitting on the floor, but had a look of amazement on his face.
“Ta-da,” Kibum said, a smile gracing his lips as he held the can out for Yesung.
Yesung grinned and took the can. A moment later, his arms were around his slightly surprised dongsaeng’s neck.
“Thank you, thank you, thank you!” Yesung chanted as he hugged Kibum tighter and tighter. Another smile found its way onto Kibum’s face again as he hugged his hyung back after he recovered from shock. Yesung remembered the coffee can wedged in between their two bodies and reluctantly let go of Kibum. He looked down on his feet and nodded a little. “I’ll go make the coffee now I guess.”
As Yesung turned around to the coffee maker, he missed the lost look on Kibum’s face after their embrace had ended.

…
There was nothing heard in the kitchen besides the occasional clinking of the spoon hitting the side of their coffee mugs. Yesung was still contemplating whether or not to tell Kibum of his decision. Every now and then, he would glance at Kibum who was busy staring on the top of the table in deep thought.
Yesung mentally traced the way Kibum held his mug in his masculine hands up to his strong arms. The slightly baggy shirt he worse still managed to show the shape of Kibum’s fit upper body. He followed up the shirt to his collarbone and the elegant, tanned neck attached to it. In his mind, Yesung wondered if it was as smooth as he thought it looked. His finger twitched slightly, wanting to try and see if his guess was right or not. Instead, Yesung just allowed his eyes to continue their journey. They drank in everything, from how clenched and solid Kibum’s jaw line looked and to his straight and even nose. And finally, Yesung looked at his eyes. He loved how dark and mysteriously soothing those eyes of his were. Those eyes which were looking….right back at him.
“You okay hyung?” Kibum asked. Yesung felt his face grow hot at the fact that he was caught pretty much eye raping his dongsaeng.
“Uh yeah, you just, had something on your face,” Yesung said quickly to cover up his indecency.
Kibum gave him an odd look and wiped his face with his sleeve. “Ah, thanks.”
“Yeah no problem,” Yesung said giving a small smile.
…
The silence was eating at Yesung inside. Usually, he was able to talk freely and casually with the magnae, but with his current dilemma, he just didn’t want to make a bigger fool out of himself, yet again. But the awkward silence made Yesung mentally suffocate and he was dying to talk to the boy across from him. It was just, how could he start a conversation, usually it came so naturally to Yesung and his eccentric mind, but at the moment it seemed his mind decided to leave for a break.
The sound of shifting and movement caught Yesung’s attention, making his head snap up to see Kibum getting up from his seat.
“Where are you going?” Yesung asked, scared he was losing yet another chance.
Kibum walked to the sink and placed his mug down. “I need to look through some of my lines and look up my schedule.” He stretched his arms above his head, his shirt rising, revealing some of his smooth stomach.
Yesung mentally panicked. He needed to speak and soon, seeing as his dongsaeng started to walk out of the room.
“Eh, um…wait!” Yesung yelled out just as Kibum walked into the hallway.
Kibum slightly turned his torso towards his hyung with a face that told Yesung he was waiting and listening to whatever he wanted.
Feeling the courage bubble up inside of him Yesung finally found the words. “I figured out what you meant.”
Kibum raised an eyebrow while the corner of his lip twitched upward. “Really?”
Yesung gulped and nodded. “So I was wondering, if your offer still stands, it would mean a lot to me, if you could, just be there for me to talk to.” He kept his head bowed slightly, his gaze stuck to the mug in his hands and the lukewarm coffee it held. In his head, Yesung prayed it hadn’t waited too long, because all of his efforts would be in vain. Why was he so slow?
A low chuckle brought Yesung out of his mental self-bashing and made him look at Kibum who stood in the doorway.
“Of course it does hyung. My offers don’t expire or anything,” Kibum said lightly.
Relief flooded Yesung’s facial and mental expressions. “I just wanted to check. But I guess I’ll have to wait until you’re not so busy.”
Kibum shook his head. “I can put it off for a little while. It’ll give it an excuse to escape from Dong Hae and Heechul when they’re bored.”
Yesung grinned at the mental image of the two whining to Kibum as if he was their hyung instead of the other way around.
“Wait, but are you sure?” Yesung asked, worried. The last thing he wanted to be was a burden to Kibum.
Yesung felt a light blush grow over his face once again as a sincere grin made its way onto Kibum’s face, making him seem even more handsome than usual.
“Anything for you, hyung.”
Yesung was so glad he finally got his chance.

A/N: Sigh. Sorry it took me so long. I couldn’t think of how to let Yesung accept Kibum’s offer…though it still seems crappy to me, but its something. TTxTT. I’ll probably rewrite this chapter when I can actually think properly. At least I have the next chapter planned out, and hopefully it’ll be written much quicker than this was. And better. I am my biggest and most severe critic.
Leaving some love would be appreciated :3. Or anything that can help me write better and faster. >.>’ I keep getting distracted by the video of Yesung, Sungmin, Shindong, Eunhyuk, Jokwon and a few other guys doing Gee. It’s so damn addicting. Watch it if you haven’t! Type ‘boys generation gee’ and it should be one of the first.
